We Are Courteous
We Are Courteous
Websters defines courteousness as having respect for and consideration of others. If adding value is our “what” we do then being courteous is our “how” we do it. Unfortunately, common courtesy isn’t so common in our profession. I have seen too many transactions fall through or come into danger of falling through as a result of an agent not having respect for and consideration of others. At Integra Realty, we put our clients first, but we also realize that having respect, consideration, and being courteous to the other side of the transaction puts our client in a winning position. There is such a thing as a win-win in real estate transactions, and it’s what we strive for each and every time.
Integra Realty Rules of Common Courtesy
- Be on time, and when life happens, give a heads up.
- Return phone calls and messages promptly
- Be completely honest
- Communicate
- Remain calm and never respond emotionally
- Give feedback on showings
- If it’s due tomorrow, do today
- Don’t bad mouth anybody
- And when in doubt, do to others as you’d have them do to you!
“A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.” – Saint Basil
